India is well known all over the world for its rich cultural heritage. Paramparik Karigar is one such association which has helped in not only preserving our rich cultural heritage but also helps to provide talented Indian artist and craftsmen with an elaborate platform.
The principal aim of Paramparik Karigar is to preserve and promote traditional art and craft of India. To ensure that Indian artists continue to create their craft, earn a sustainable income and also pass their skills to their children ensuring their skills stay relevant and alive.
Last year I had the opportunity to be a part of their textile exhibition and workshops and was quite intrigued by our cultural dimensions.
Below are few images from the same;
Being a fashion enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised to see this association being a part of Lakme Fashion Week too! It was great to see a stylish jugalbandi of crafts, weaves and contemporary fashion!
